Manager, Assurance

The Assurance program amalgamates all audit, risk and security compliance activities into a holistic program governing the IT environment. You’ll assist in executing the Assurance program for Interac Association and Acxsys Corporation, providing tactical support to the Assurance program’s objectives.  As a member of the Risk and Assurance Department, you’ll work closely with various groups across the organization to mature IT compliance & governance processes.  

You're great at... 

  • Maintaining and supporting the Assurance program.
  • Developing and maintaining program documentation (i.e. checklists).
  • Tracking compliance with IT general controls (ITGC), PCI-DSS and internal security policies.
  • Maintaining a register of compliance and audit issues/gaps.
  • Maintaining the IT general computing controls catalogue.
  • Collaborating with IT and Applications teams on PCI and ITGC requirements for the existing infrastructure, applications and new technologies.
  • Providing tactical support for all non-finance audit engagements.
  • Assisting IT, Security and Operations with remediation planning and activities.
  • Facilitating the development of action plans to remediate findings.
  • Explaining and translating technical control requirements to non-technical personnel.

Who are you? 

  • You have a university degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Security.
  • You have 5+ years’ experience in an information security audit, compliance or risk management role.
  • You have industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, PCIP (not necessary but an asset).
  • You have experience with information security standards and frameworks (e.g. PCI-DSS, COBIT, and ISO270012).
  • You have experience with virtualization, cloud computing and data analytics tools.
  • You have knowledge of IT General Controls (ITGC).
  • You are familiar with ITIL and IT Governance (e.g. COBIT).
  • You have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization and with external contacts.
  • You have solid verbal, written and listening communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • You have strong organizational skills
  • You are a self-motivated team player, able to effectively multi-task.
  • You’re proficient in Microsoft Office.
