Marketing Manager

You’re a results oriented individual who is ready to make an impact and drive preference and usage of Interac services including Interac Debit, Interac Flash, International Debit, and mobile services. You’re a self-motivated individual who delivers on time and within budget, by dealing effectively with challenges and ambiguous situations. You’ll be responsible for the management and execution of Marketing and Communications campaigns as well as Channel Marketing programs with Issuers, Acquirers and Merchant partners.  You must be able to demonstrate execution leadership and will be involved in converting agreed upon plans into action with the support of cross-functional teams and agencies.

You're great at... 

  • Providing marketing input to all projects through the creative brief process, as well as end-to-end management of projects from briefing to delivery/execution phase.
  • Supporting the annual marketing planning process by providing relevant market/channel insights (multi-stakeholder – consumer, merchant, FI, Acquirer, and multi-channel) along with program recommendation/ideas to the Senior Marketing Manager and Product Managers.
  • Analyzing campaign KPIs throughout execution and optimizing campaigns to achieve the best ROI and business impact including post-campaign analysis for all marketing programs.
  • Securing approvals across key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinating and leading channel marketing communications, ensuring all Client Management representatives are aware of marketing offers and campaigns and leveraging them to their clients.
  • Working in partnership with the Product and Data Strategy team to integrate key priorities and insights into relevant campaigns/opportunities.
  • Supporting partner and vendor relationships.
  • Presenting weekly status updates to Senior Marketing Manager on key projects.
  • Creating detailed work back and planning schedules and maintain status/milestones for marketing projects.
  • Reviewing and coding all program invoices for review and approval, and systematically managing and tracking program related costs and invoices along with monthly accrual reporting for finance. 

Who are you? 

  • You must have a university degree, preferably with a Business, Marketing or Advertising focus.
  • You have 5+ years of combined marketing experience with increasing levels of responsibility and decision-making.
  • You have 1-2 years of demonstrated ownership or participation in strategic marketing planning processes.
  • You have experience in delivering marketing and advertising programs across a variety of mediums and channels including online, offline, television and social media.
  • You’ve had end-to-end ownership of multi-faceted, multi media campaigns or promotions.
  • You have demonstrated creative and media agency management experience.
  • You have working knowledge of the Canadian payments and/or banking system.
  • You’re able to demonstrate strong strategic, analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • You have the ability to work autonomously and under pressure in a high volume environment on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • You have strong communication skills (written & verbal).
  • You are proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office products.
